Every song has its story. This one is a touching poem written by a daughter, named Taylor for her mother.
Taylor said
I wrote this poem about my mom and her drinking problem and how it affected me and the rest of my family. It is the memories of me trying to help her and dealing with her.
Unsaid
I try to help,
but she destroys herself.
She pulls away,
to fall all over the place.
She says no one understands.
As i catch her in my hands.
Every night,
I listen to her cry.
She talks about,
how her life turned out.
She says living is a pain.
Then drinks herself away.
With a pill for everyday.
We wait for a change.
I guess nothing good can last.
Her future`s just the past.
She asks why pain lasts so long,
why does everything go wrong?
I wipe her tears,
and I will for years.
Though she cant take
back the pain she gave,
I tell her everyday,
that everything will be okay.

You might wonder what happen to the mother? Taylor’s dad divorced her and she lives with her boyfriend who drinks also. She has improved some but she will never quit. Taylor still tries to help her but she doesn’t believe she has a problem.
I had composed the melody for this song, but yet to record it in audio. Stay tuned!

Dude, i totally agree that this poem is awesome. Taylor is an amazing writer. But whats really bothering me at the moment is that Taylor, isn’t a boy. SHE is a girl. Just wanted to point that out, i’m sure she’ll appreciate if you change all the male meanings to female.
Sorry about that.. I just got a notification from Taylor herself. I have modified the text accordingly.
Sorry again
